Part I – – PRELIMINARY

1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the HIV and AIDS Prevention and Control Act, 2006.

2. Interpretation

In this Act unless the context otherwise requires—"Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AlDS)" means a condition characterized by a combination of signs and symptoms, resulting from depletion of the immune system caused by infection with the Human Immuno-deficiency Virus (HIV);"…
