1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Persons Deprived of Liberty Act, 2014.2. Interpretation
In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—"advocate" has the meaning assigned to it under section 2 of the AdvocatesAct (Cap. 16);"Cabinet Secretary" means the Cabinet Secretary responsible for matters relating to the administration of justice;"child" has the meaning assigned to it under Article 260 of the Constitution."Competent Authority" means any person, officer or body responsible for or dealing with matters relating to persons deprived of liberty;"Consultative committee" means the committee established under section 29."detained person" means a person deprived of…Read the Full Legislation on judy.legal
