Death does not extinguish liability. See: the Civil Liability Act, 1963 (Act 176) which for example makes it possible to maintain an action against the estates of a deceased. In the same vein, the estates of the deceased can for example maintain an action against anyone who unlawfully caused the death of the deceased (in torts it is called ‘death in relation to torts’)
