See what you can ask

Once connected, just talk to your assistant in plain language. It picks the right tools and cites every source.

“Find Ghanaian Supreme Court cases on unconscionable contracts and summarise the holdings.”

“What does Kenyan legislation say about data protection? Pull the key statutes.”

“Search Nigerian case law for wrongful dismissal and give me the ratio of the top three decisions.”

“Summarise the facts, issues and holding for this case, then list the cases it relied on.”

Frequently asked questions

What is the Model Context Protocol?

MCP is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect securely to outside services. It is what lets your assistant search JUDY’s African case law and legislation and work from real sources instead of guessing.

Which AI tools can I use it with?

It works with MCP-compatible assistants like Claude (web and desktop), ChatGPT, Notion and Mistral Le Chat, plus anything else that can connect to https://mcp.judy.legal/.

Do I need a judy.legal account?

Yes. You sign in with your existing judy.legal account, and a Plus subscription (individual or organization) is required. We never see your password, and your assistant only ever accesses what your plan allows.

What can it access?

Keyword and plain-language search across case law and legislation, plus AI case analysis. Ghana, Nigeria and Kenya have full coverage; other jurisdictions have selected content. It only ever reads, never changes anything, and full judgment text stays on judy.legal where you can read each decision in full.

Is my data private and secure?

Yes. You sign in with your own judy.legal account, and we don’t store the questions you ask or the answers your assistant receives. Everything runs against your account, just like using judy.legal directly. Read the Privacy Policy.

How much does it cost?

Using the MCP server requires a judy.legal Plus subscription, available as an individual or an organization plan. There is no extra charge for MCP on top of Plus; connecting your assistant is included.
