The provision of section is 27 apply to the case of a person whose mind is disordered by intoxicated caused without intention on his part by drugs or by other means.

They do not apply to the case of a person who has to become intoxicated.

When a intention to cause a specific results is an element of an offence, intoxication to complete may be regarded for the purpose of ascertaining such an intention in fact existed.
