SALAMI JCA (Delivering the Lead Judgment): The plaintiff, in the Federal High Court, claimed against the defendants, six reliefs including an order of perpetual injunction. Pleadings, which were ordered by the trial court, giving the plaintiff seven days within which to file their statement of claim and defendants, twenty-one days to file their statement of defence , were accordingly settled at statement of claim and statement of defence.

Plaintiff in support of her claim testified viva voce and tendered eighteen documentary evidence. She was extensively cross-examined and re-examined. Thereafter, she closed her case. The defendants did not testify nor call witness in support of their defence, but informed the court they opted to rest their case on that of the plaintiff. Counsel addressed the court before reserving the matter for judgment.
