BIOBELE ABRAHAM GEORGEWILL, J.C.A. (Delivering the Lead Ruling): On 6/3/2012, the Appellant/Applicant was arraigned before the Federal High Court in Charge No: FHC/L/80C/2012 L/80C/2012: Nigerian Customs Service Board V. Adedapo Adenigbagbe on a four count charge alleging the importation of contraband goods and evasion of payment of custom duties. Subsequently, the charge was amended and on 8/5/2012 the Appellant/Applicant was re - arraigned before the Court below, Coram: M. B. Idris J., and he pleaded not guilty and the matter proceeded to trial. The Respondent called three witnesses while the Appellant/Applicant called four witnesses and at the conclusion of 'the trial the Court below found the Appellant/Applicant guilty on all the four counts and sentenced him to various terms of imprisonment, amounting concurrently to two years in imprisonment.
