BATURE ISAH GAFAI, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This appeal questions the judgment of the High Court of Anambra State delivered on the 12th of February 2018 in Suit no. A/188/2014 in which the lower Court entered Judgment against the Appellants in the sum of N164,652,000.00 being debt for security services as well as interest on the Judgment debt and cost.
The Appellants were aggrieved by the judgment and expressed their dissatisfaction vide their Notice of Appeal filed on the 14th of May 2018 in which they complained against the Judgment on ten Grounds; viz:

The Learned trial Judge erred in Law when in the absence of the defendants and their counsel on 16/10/2017 closed the case of the defendants and adjourned the case for adoption of final address without notifying the defendants and occasioned miscarriage of justice.
GROUND 2
The Learned trial Judge erred in Law when on 21/11/2017 he allowed the Plaintiff’s counsel to adopt his final address.
