The facts of these consolidated suits are not necessary for the purpose of this decision. This is in fact an application for an order attaching five persons, who were strangers to the suit, for contempt of court. The applicant obtained judgment against the defendants in the suits. She was apparently adjudged entitled to possession of a house No. A.22/1, Garland Avenue, Korle Gonno, Accra. Following this she applied for a writ of possession after due notice to 22 persons including the respondents herein who were the inmates of the house.

Only five of these inmates, the respondents herein, strangers to the suit, were served with the application and the affidavit supporting it. They are Jonas Okoe Cofie, George Odartei Lamptey, Odarkai Lamptey, Samuel Odarlai Lamptey and Jacob Odartey Cofie.
