UWANI MUSA ABBA AJI, J.S.C. (Delivering the Lead Judgment): The facts as given by the Respondent are that the Appellant (as 1st Defendant at the trial Court) conspired with the 2nd Defendant and robbed one Carol Ubani (PW1) with her sister (PW2) of her car and other items on or about 4/7/2011 in her residence at Federal High Court Judges' quarters, Abeokuta. The Respondent called 5 witnesses and tendered exhibits A-G including the confessional statements of the Appellant marked as exhibits A and D. PW1 and PW2, the victims of the crime gave direct and credible eyewitness testimony of the crime, after having made several reports and complaints of the crime at more than one police station. PW1 also identified the Appellant as one of the people who robbed her of her car, money and other valuable items. PW2, who was also at the scene of the crime corroborated the evidence of PW1 as to what transpired on the day the crime was committed by the Appellant and his co-accused.
