TSAMMANI J (Read the Ruling of the Tribunal): On the 14th day of April, 2007, election was conducted to occupy the office of Governor of Ogun State of Nigeria. The petitioner, the 3rd respondent together with 16 others were said to be candidates at the election. At the conclusion of the election, the 1st and 2nd respondents declared and returned the 3rd respondent as the duly elected Governor of Ogun State of Nigeria. The petitioner was not satisfied with the declaration and return of the 3rd respondent and therefore filed this petition challenging the said return. Upon being served, the 1st, 2nd, 4th - 259th respondents who were represented by Oluyele Delano SAN of counsel filed a reply to the petition and the 3rd and 260th respondents who were represented by Prof. Taiwo Osipitan SAN of counsel also filed a reply to the petition.
