RITA NOSAKHARE PEMU, J.C.A.(Delivering the Leading Judgment): This is an appeal against the Ruling of the National Industrial Court Holden at Enugu, delivered by Honourable Justice R. B. Haastrup on the 13th day of June 2014.

FACTS OF THE CASE

The accused person had been charged under the relevant Section of the Trafficking in Person (Prohibition Law Enforcement and Administration Act 2003) as amended.

Upon the receipt of the charge sheets which were served on the Appellants by proxy, they filed through their counsel, a notice of preliminary objection dated 23rd May 2014 and filed on the 26th of May 2014, challenging the jurisdiction of the trial Court to entertain the charge.

In its Ruling, the preliminary objection was overruled.

The Appellants are dissatisfied with the decision of the lower Court and filed a Notice of Appeal on the 25th of June 2014, encapsulating three (3) Grounds of Appeal Pages 40 44 of the Record of Appeal.
