STEPHEN JONAH ADAH, JCA (Delivering the Leading Judgement): This appeal queries the judgment of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, hereinafter referred to as "trial court", coram judice, Yusuf Baba J., delivered on the 25th June, 2019, in Charge No: FCT/HC/CR/150/2012, convicting the defendant, Apostle Basil Princewill now Appellant, for the offence of rape and attempt to cause miscarriage contrary to Section 283 and 95 of the Penal Code Law and was sentenced to term of 7 years imprisonment accordingly.
