STATEMENT OF CLAIM

The plaintiff’s claim jointly and severally against the defendants as follows:

a. An order setting aside the appointment intended installation of Nii Odarlai Lamptey II as the Chief Fisherman of the plaintiff/Association.

b. Perpetual Injunction restraining the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th defendants from doing anything to appoint or install any person as the chief fisherman of plaintiff/association without the due process of the law.

c. Any other relief as the court may deem fit.

The defendants’ counterclaim stated in their defence filed on February, 28, 2006 was:

a. That all chief fisherman or sub-chiefs fishermen throughout the fishing townships within the James Town Traditional Area are always nominated, elected and installed from a particular accredited Royal fishing Family, (in the particular instance “the Royal Family of Lante Quarshie House”) and never from any false Association.
