The background, in brief, is that by an order of the court made on the October 16, 1996 in Nairobi Winding Up Cause No. 28 of 1996, the High Court appointed Hezekiah Wangombe Gichohi and Geoffrey Kimeu as interim liquidators of the Respondent with their powers restricted to those set out in Section 241 of the since repealed Companies Act, (Cap 486), except Section 241(2) of that Act.
