PETER OYINKENIMIEMI AFFEN, J.C.A. (Delivering the Lead Judgment): This appeal is against the reserved judgment of the High Court of Ekiti State, coram: O. I. O. Ogunyemi, J. (“Trial Court”) delivered on 19/2/2024 in Suit No. HCR/7/2020: Mr. Olu Ayeni & Anor v Mr Matthew Ojo Ajisegiri & 2 Ors. There was a main claim by the Appellants (qua claimants) which failed in its entirety, and a counterclaim by the Respondents (qua defendants) which was successful. The Appellants' fault the judgment on seven (7) grounds of appeal contained in a Notice of Appeal filed on 25/4/2024. As enjoined by the Rules of this Court, the parties filed and exchanged briefs of arguments, and this appeal was heard on 30/10/25.
