JUDGMENT

ASUMAN-ADU, J.

The Plaintiff herein commenced the instant action against the Defendant by issuing out writ of summons together with a statement of claim on 29th June, 2012 for the following reliefs:

1. A declaration that the termination of the Plaintiff’s employment by the Defendant is unlawful, unfair and without any basis whatsoever.

2. An order for the payment of compensation/damages for work done for nearly 10 years.

3. Payment of one month’s salary in lieu of notice

4. Costs including legal fees.

The writ of summons and the statement of claim were served on the Defendant on 3rd July, 2012 and it entered appearance on 10th July 2012 which was served on the Plaintiff on 11th July 2012. The Defendant, however, failed to file its statement of defence. This was revealed by a search conducted by the Plaintiff at the registry of this court on 22nd August, 2012.
