RULING
On 30th December 2024, the Plaintiffs approached the civil altar of this Court seeking certain labour-related reliefs, so to speak, against the Defendant which reliefs are not relevant to recall in this decision save for the sake of emphasis and/or sound legal analysis.
Upon service of the writ of summons and the accompanying statement of claim on the Defendant, it entered conditional appearance to the writ through its solicitor, Kwesi Ndom-Dampson, on 31st December 2024 ostensibly pursuant to Order 9 rule 7(1) of CI 47 and caused same to be served on the 1st Plaintiff. Curiously, the Defendant filed the same notice of conditional appearance on 22nd January 2025 and caused same to be serve on the 2nd Plaintiff. However, I find this quite curious given that the Plaintiffs jointly issued the instant writ by one lawyer John Kwaku Oppong who had indicated his address for service at the back of the writ.
