This court has been called upon to exercise its jurisdiction under Section 20 of the Court Acts 1993 (Act 459) as amended. Sub section 1(g) of Section 20 of the Court Acts provides that:

“a claim by a seaman for wages earned by him on board a ship, whether due under a special contract or otherwise, and a claim by the master of a ship for salary earned by him on board the ship and for disbursements made by him on account of the ship.”

In this respect the within named Plaintiffs on the 13th day of February, 2017 issued a writ against the Defendants herein for:

(a) Recovery of all Salaries and Wages owed the Plaintiffs effective from July ending 2014 to date of filing of this Writ which aforesaid continues to accrue until date of final payment of same.

(b) Interest on same at the prevailing Bank rate until final payment of same.

(c) Recovery of all monies owed the Plaintiffs by the 4th Defendant as End of Service Benefits lawfully owed and due the Plaintiffs.
