MOHAMMED, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Ruling): On 12th June 1995 a Kaduna High Court of Justice presided over by Akaahs J. entered judgment for the respondent against the appellant/applicant in the sum of Nine million, three hundred and eleven thousand and forty naira, fifty seven kobo (N9,311,040.57) with interest at 21% on the judgment debt from 9th May 1994 until the date of the judgment and thereafter at 10% per annum until the entire judgment debt was liquidated. The appellant/applicant which was not happy with the aspect of that judgment awarding 21% interest on the judgment debt had appealed against it by filing its notice of appeal containing the ground of appeal on 10/7/95 at the court below. Meanwhile the respondent as judgment creditor had taken steps to execute the judgment by attaching some immovable properties of the appellant/applicant It is for this reason that the appellant/applicant filed an application in this court on 11/7/95 asking for a number of reliefs inclu…
