JUSTICE IBRAHIM SULEIMAN GALADIMA (DELIVERING THE RULING OF THE COURT): In this action, these Claimants/Respondents, who are allegedly members of the 2nd Defendant Union (NULGE), instituted this action here by way of originating summons, on 12/9/2019 questioning the length of the tenure of office of the 1st Defendant as National President along with the other National Officers of the said National Union of Local Government Employees which purportedly commenced on 24/3/2014, and the propriety of the elongation of the tenure of the officers of the union at all levels, from the constitutional four year term to six years and thus basically seek inter alia for a declaration that their tenure as national union officials, ended by effluxion of time on 24/3/2019 in accordance with the 2005/2016 NULGE Constitutions.
