IYIZOBA JCA (Delivering the Lead Judgment): The respondent/cross-appellant, PrinceAdeola Ajidahun as plaintiff initiated suit No. FHC/ AK/19/08 at the Federal High Court, Akure on 2 May 1997 claiming against the appellant/cross-respondent as defendant the sum of N603,190.17k (six hundred and three thousand, one hundred and ninety naira, seventeen kobo) being the balance owed him inclusive of interest for drawings submitted to the defendant on request in 1989 on the proposed School of Environmental Sciences and Fine Art project of the Federal University of Technology,

Akure. The plaintiff also claimed interest on the judgment sum at 10% per annum from the date of filing of his claim until it is fully paid. The parties exchanged pleadings vide statement of claim, statement of defence and reply to the statement of defence.
