JUDGMENT
The Appellant was charged with the offence of robbery contrary to Section 149 of the Criminal Offences Act 1960 (Act 29) and were arraigned before the Tema Circuit Court on the 14th of September 2021 and on the 20th of September 2021 the charges were read and explained in the Ga-Adangbe language wherein he pleaded not guilty. After a full trial, the court found him guilty and sentenced him to ten (10) years IHL on the 23rd November 2023. It is against this judgment that the appellant filed the instant petition of appeal on the 20th of December 2023 praying for this appellate court to set aside the conviction and sentence and ultimately acquit the appellant.
GROUNDS OF APPEAL
The sole ground of appeal filed is that:
a. That the conviction cannot be supported having regard to the evidence and same has occasioned a substantial miscarriage of justice.
