ADUMEIN, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): The 1st respondent was the applicant in an application for the enforcement of his fundamental rights. The appellants and the 2nd respondents were the respondents to that application which was filed on 31/10/2011 in the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Judgment was given on 08/03/2012 whereby the appellants and the 2nd respondent were ordered to release the 1st respondent’s Call to Bar Certificate; to tender a written apology to the 1st respondent and to pay the 1st respondent the sum of N50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Naira) as compensation for the violation of his fundamental rights.

From 08/10/2012 the 1st respondent commenced committal proceedings by filing Form 48 and Form 49, respectively, in which the appellants were named as the respondents/contemnors.
