MOHAMMED MUSTAPHA, J.C.A.(Delivering the Leading Judgment): This appeal is against the judgment of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, presided by Hon. Justice Ugochukwu Anthony Ogakwu, delivered on the 18th day of March, 2009.
The plaintiff now the Respondent took out a writ of Summons dated 24/12/2017 and sought for the following reliefs against the Defendant now the Appellant before the trial Court:-
a. An order of Court directing the Defendant to release to the Plaintiff the sum of Sixteen Million, Four Hundred Thousand Naira (N16,400,000.00) only being outstanding balance left in the account after the initial withdrawal by the Plaintiff.
b. An order of Court directing the Defendant to pay Plaintiff the sum of Fifty Million Naira (N50,000,000.00) only for the poor showing of the Plaintiff at the last General Election caused by the Defendant's refusal to release the Plaintiff's money.
