PIUS OLAYIWOLA ADEREMI, J.C.A.(Delivering the Leading Judgment): In the court below (Lagos State Lands Tribunal sitting at Ikeja), the claimants (hereinafter referred to as the appellants) who are legal practitioners practicing under the name and style of IRVING and BONAR brought an Originating Summons for the determination of the following matters:
1. whether the claimants are entitled to compensation in respect of the compulsory acquisition of the property known as Nos. 11/17 Tinubu Street, Lagos as per Acquisition Notice published in Lagos State of Nigeria Official Gazette No.45 Volume 8 of 5th November, 1975 and
2. if so, what is the amount of compensation due and payable to the claimants.
