E.O WILLIAMS-DAWODU, JCA (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This appeal is consequent upon the Ruling of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Abuja, delivered on February 1st 2013, wherein the application of the 1st Respondent as the Judgment Creditor was granted and the Order Nisi was made absolute.
From the Record before this Court, the Court below gave judgment in favour of the 1st Respondent/Judgment Creditor (the Plaintiff at the Court below), by ordering the payment of the sum of Two Million Naira (N2,000,000.00) as damages against the 2nd Respondent {the Respondent at the Court below) for unlawful detention of the 1st Respondent by the Police upon the 1st Respondent's application for enforcement of her fundamental right.
