IBRAHIM ALI ANDENYANGTSO, JCA (Delivering the leading Judgment): On the 16th day of November, 2016, at about 10:15 PM one Adams Abanibi was attacked at gun point in his residence at No. 5 Oke-Ureje off Poly Road, Ado-Ekiti by some masked men said to be three in number. In the process of the attack the black Toyota Camry Car and an Infinix cell phone of Adams Abanibi were snatched away by the gun men. The following morning being 17th day of November 2016, Adams Abanibi lodged a report of the robbery at the Police Station.
Meanwhile, on the said 17th Nov. 2016, High Way Patrol Team stopped a Toyota Camry car at a check point at Isua Akoko and arrested three young men in the car being driven to Lokoja. However, one of the three young men escaped from the Isua Police Station. Ado-Ekiti Police then tracked the vehicle to the Isua Police Station and same was recovered and taken to Akure Police Command, which was in turn transferred to Ado-Ekiti Police Command.
