UWANI MUSA ABBA AJI, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This appeal is against the judgment of the National Industrial Court, Kano Judicial Division, holden at Kano in Suit No. NICN/KN/12/2013, delivered on 15/6/2017 by Hon. Justice Lawal Mani, wherein judgment was given in favour of the Respondent.

The Respondents Complaint at the lower Court against the Appellant vide the Statement of Facts dated 11/7/2013 contained at pages 4-7 of the records were as follows:

a. A declaration that the action of the defendant in terminating the claimants employment without adequate terminal benefits as contained in the defendants condition of service is unlawful, wrongful and constitute breach of contract of labour between the parties.

b. The sum of ₦2,775,518.18 being the balance of his entitlements due from the defendant from May, 2005 to April, 2010.

c. General damages.
