This is an appeal launched against the judgement of the High Court, Accra, dated the 17th day of December 2010, in favour of the Plaintiff/Respondent, (hereinafter referred to as the Plaintiff). The judgement is against the Defendants/Appellants who will hereinafter be referred to as the Defendants.

FACTS:

The facts on which this appeal rests are simple, and go like this: The Plaintiff who is a professional accountant was engaged as the financial controller of the 1st Defendant Company from 1st April 1996 to 30th June 1996. The 2nd Defendant is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the 1st Defendant Company and also the Executive Director of the said company. In June 1999, the Plaintiff after giving the appropriate notice under his contract of employment voluntarily resigned from the 1st Defendant Company. He had thereafter taken up appointment as the financial controller of SCOA (Ghana) Limited in Accra.
