MOHAMMED DANJUMA, JCA (Delivering the Leading Judgement): This appeal filed by the Appellants who were petitioners at the trial Tribunal is against the judgment of the National and State Houses of Assembly Election Tribunal delivered on the 31st October, 2023. The Tribunal dismissed the petition of the Appellants challenging the election and return of the 2nd Respondent as the winner of the election conducted into the Plateau Central Senatorial District. Dissatisfied with the decision of the Tribunal, the Appellants filed a Notice of Appeal on the 11th of November, 2023 with 22 grounds of appeal.
STATEMENT OF MATERIAL FACTS
The Plateau Central Senatorial District is comprised of five Local Government Areas namely; Kanam, Kanke, Bokkos, Mangu and Pankshin.
