BIOBELE ABRAHAM GEORGEWILL, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This is an appeal against the Judgment of the High Court of Lagos State, Coram: O. A. Adefope-Okojie J., in Suit No: ID/197/2006 Chaigo Nigeria Limited v. Governor of Lagos State and Ors., delivered on 15/11/2011, in which the claims of the 1st Respondent as Clamant against the Appellants and 2nd Respondent as Defendants were granted.
The Appellants were dissatisfied with the said judgment of the Court below and had promptly appealed against it vide a notice of appeal filed on 13/12/2011 on six grounds at pages 161-165 of the record of appeal. The record of appeal was transmitted to this Court on 27/4/2012. The Appellants' brief was filed on 18/8/2016 but deemed properly filed on 6/3/2018. The 1st Respondent's brief was filed on 22/11/2016 but deemed properly filed on 6/3/2018. The 2nd Respondent did not file any brief.
