RULING
On or about 20th November,1909, one Benjamin Malade conveyed to John Buckman a piece of land lying and being at Ussher Town Accra. Then 1937, John Buckman in turn leased the said land to Messrs. Adra Brothers for a period of 50 years.
Sometime in 1968, that is after the lease had run for 31 years, Wassaf Adra, the lessee assigned his interest in the land to Fatima Amin Adra and Samina Rabah Adra. That is the remainder 19 years in the lease was sublet to the said Fatima and Samina. Then 1970, that us 2 years after the sublease, the sublessees , that is Fatima and Samina also leased the remainder 17 years to Tarek Company Limited acting per Wassaf Sadallah Dakmak. Now it is the case of Plaintiffs that the headlease of 50 years had expired and that it expired on the 1st December 1987.
Upon expiration of headlease, it appears from that statement of Claim that Plaintiffs did nothing until 29th September, 2014 when they caused their lawyer to write to Defendants to yield…
