JUDGMENT  

i. Introduction: 

[1] The 2nd Plaintiff, Joseph Asamoah is the Managing Director of the 1st Plaintiff Company  which is engaged in the provision of hotel accommodation in the hospitality industry with branches  at McCarthy Hill and Dzorwulu in Accra. The Plaintiffs contend that they signed a tenancy  agreement with the Defendant Company for the lease of its McCarthy Hill property for an agreed  period of two years, an agreement the Plaintiffs contend the Defendant has breached. The issues  for my resolution in this case are: whether the Defendant owes the Plaintiffs rent and also whether the Plaintiff is entitled to recover from the Defendant the total cost of household damaged items.  In effect, whether the Plaintiffs are entitled to the reliefs endorsed on the Writ of Summons.  

[2] The Plaintiffs’ Writ of Summons issued on February 19, 2016 and the Statement of Claim  which was later amended was for the following reliefs:
