ABBA BELLO MOHAMMED, JCA (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This appeal is against the judgment of the National and State Houses of Assembly Election Tribunal, Akwa Ibom State, coram: Hon. Justice Bayo A. Taiwo, Chairman; Hon. Justice Ishaku Usman, Member I; and Hon. Justice Nasir Azargina, Member II (the Tribunal). The judgment was delivered on the 10th of November, 2023 and it is at pages 2286 – 2374 of the Record of Appeal. Dissatisfied with the judgment, the Appellants herein, who were the 1st and 2nd Respondents at the Tribunal, brought this appeal vide Notice of Appeal filed on the 20th of November, 2023 which is at pages 2375 – 2390 of Volume III of the Record of Appeal.

In furtherance of the appeal, the parties filed and exchanged briefs of argument. The Appellants’ Brief of Argument was filed on the 28th of.
