JOSEPH OLUBUNMI KAYODE OYEWOLE, JCA (DELIVERING THE LEADING JUDGMENT): This is in respect of an appeal against the ruling of the Federal High Court, Abuja Judicial Division, sitting in Abuja delivered on the 25th April, 2022 by Hon. Justice A.R. Mohammed, J. (now JCA).
Following the ex-parte order of the lower court freezing several accounts including those of the Appellants, the Appellants filed an application on the 6th April, 2022 wherein they sought the following reliefs:
AN ORDER of striking out the 178th, 179th, 181st, 182nd, and 184th Defendants from this suit.
AN ORDER of this Honourable Court setting aside its Order made in this suit on 14th March, 2022 empowering the Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (Respondent) to direct the Head Offices of Banks to freeze the Parties Affected/Applicants’ accounts listed as numbers 297-315 in the said Order for a period of 180 days, as follows:
