ALAGOA JCA (Delivering the Lead Judgment): This is an appeal against the judgment of M. U. Alkali J. of the Kano State High Court which was delivered on the 27th July, 2001 in suit No. K/517/2000 between Faisal Travel Agency Ltd v. Intercity Bank Plc wherein the learned trial Judge A entered judgment in favour of the respondent against the appellant in the sum of N2,192,000 (two million, one hundred andninety two thousand naira only) plus interest at 21% on the said sum from 14thApril, 1997 until 27th July, 2001 and thereafter at 10% until judgment sum is fully liquidated. The writ of summons was filed under the undefended list procedure.
