J U D G M E N T 

By an amended Statement of claim dated 16th December 2014, Plaintiff herein an  Assistant immigration Control Officer of the Ghana Immigration Service sued the  defendants owners of the Chronicle newspaper, a reporter of the newspaper and the  acting editor of the said newspaper claiming the following reliefs 

a. Cash the sum of GHS 200,000 in General Damages for defamation b. An order of the court directed at defendants to publish a retraction and an  apology to plaintiff and give the said retraction and apology the same prominence the defamatory publication received 

c. Perpetual injunction restraining the Defendants their agents, assigns and  servants from further publication of any defamatory words against plaintiff d. Cost of the action. 

Plaintiff alleges that on the front pages of 8th, 9th, and 10th of October 2014 editions  of the Chronicle newspaper, Defendants published series of defamatory stories  about him.
