JUDGMENT

DZAMEFE, JA

The plaintiff/appellant, referred to as plaintiff is a businessman and lives at Dormaa Ahenkro and also the owner of house number 103, New Town Extension, Sunyani, while the defendant/respondent, also living in Sunyani, is a herbal doctor. It is the plaintiff’s case that in July 2006, he rented his house number 103 New Town Extension, Sunyani to the defendant.

According to the plaintiff, the defendant vacated the premises on 30th April 2010 but failed to settle his monthly rent of Gh¢1000 and water bill of Gh¢84.20. He said the defendant also caused damage to some fittings in the house which he had to replace and also paid the unpaid bills left by the defendant.

Wherefore he issued this writ against the defendant for the following claims: -

a. Recovery of a total sum of Gh¢754.80 made u as follows:

i. Rent arrears for April, 2010 - Gh¢100.00

ii. Water bill - Gh¢ 84.20

iii. Keys - Gh¢ 198.50

iv. Louvre blades (40 pieces) and frames - Gh¢96.10
