JUDGMENT

ESSAH (MRS.), J.

This Appeal emanates from the Judgment of the District Court 1 Per  Her Worship Rosemond Dodua Agyiri dated 12th August, 2014 where  in Judgment was given against Defendant/Appellant in a case in  which Plaintiff/Respondent sought an order for recovery of  possession of stores space at the Urban Plaza, Abossey Okai, for his personal use; ejection of the Defendant; an order compelling  Defendant to pay all rent arrears due and owing Plaintiff in the sum  of GHC2,700.00 interest on the said sum from date the rent was due  to final payment and costs. 

By way of brief facts of the case, the Plaintiff had alleged that by a  tenancy agreement dated 26th July 2001 he had leased a store to the  Defendant for a period of ten years at a rent of GHC1,800.00. Upon expiration of the lease, Defendant continued to occupy the store, paid  only GHC900.OO which represented a quarter of the amount owed  but continued to remain in the property.
