CONSENT JUDGMENT 

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT  

WHEREAS: 

1. The Plaintiff sued the Defendant in a writ dated 21st January, 2016 claiming the following: 

(a) The sum of One Hundred and Twenty-Seven Thousand, Seven Hundred Ghana  Cedis (GH¢127,700.00) as compensation due to Plaintiff following the Defendant’s  acquisition of his two parcels of land for mining operations. 

(b) Interest on the sum of One Hundred and Twenty-Seven Thousand, Seven Hundred  Ghana Cedis (GH¢127,700.00) at the prevailing commercial bank rate from 7th August,  2014 till date of final payment. 

2. In a Ruling dated 22nd May, 2017, the trial Court granted the parties time to comply with requirements of Section 2 of the Minerals and Mining (Compensation and Resettlement)  Regulations, 2012 L. I. 2175. 

3. Following the Ruling the Plaintiff petitioned the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources for  the determination of compensation due and the Minister decided that the “assessment of compensation payable be based on the rate fo…
