JOHN INYANG OKORO, J.S.C. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): Earlier this morning, I delivered two judgments in appeal nos. SC.488/2012 and SC.488A/2012 in which the facts and circumstances are the same. They both relate to the Orimolusi of Ijebu - Igbo Chieftaincy Declaration as in the instant appeal. I had in the two earlier judgments affirmed the decision of the Court of Appeal that the meeting of the kingmakers held on 6th January, 1997 was a nullity having been composed or constituted by some persons who were not qualified as king makers. I agreed with the lower Court that qualified kingmakers should reconvene and carry out the exercise of selecting the Orimolusi of Ijebu - Igbo from the Ojuronmu Ruling House in line with the Chieftaincy Declaration. Thus, I would have ordered the instant appeal to abide by the outcome in appeal no. SC.488/2012 but for the presence of certain issues which need to be ironed out and also that the 1st Respondent herein was not part of the two earlie…
