(Delivering the Lead Judgment): This appeal is against the judgment of the Court of Appeal, Abuja Judicial Division (hereinafter referred to as “the Court below”), delivered on the 30th day of June, 2020 in Appeal No: CA/A/904C/2017, wherein the Court below affirmed the conviction and sentence entered by the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (hereinafter referred to as “the trial Court”) against the Appellant, for the offence of intention to defraud by false pretense, contrary to Section 1(1)(a) of the Advanced Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act, 2006.
