CLARA BATA OGUNBIYI, J.C.A. (Delivering the Lead Ruling): The application at hand is brought pursuant to section 28 of the Court of Appeal Act Cap. C36 and order 16 Rule 13(1) of the Court of Appeal Rules 2007 and prays for:-

"(i) An order of this court admitting the Appellant/Accused to Bail, pending the determination by this court of his Appeal against his conviction and sentence to 3 years imprisonment by Hon. Justice D. Oluwayemi of the High Court of Lagos state, in a judgment delivered on the 29th day of June, 2010 in Charge No. LCD /10/2003 (The State v. Olarenwaju Lasaki).

(ii) And for such further orders or orders as this Honourable Court may deem fit to make in the circumstances.

AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that the Appellant shall rely on the grounds contained in the supporting affidavit, particularly the manifest unreliability of his conviction and the likelihood of his completing his custodial sentence before the appeal is heard."
