JUDGEMENT
SOPHIA R. BERNASKO ESSAH (MRS) JA:
This is an appeal lodged by the Plaintiff/Appellant against the judgment of the High Court, which dismissed his claim for defamation and upheld the defence of qualified privilege raised by the Defendants/Respondents. The Appellant seeks reversal of the trial court’s decision on the following grounds:
a. The judgment is against the weight of evidence.
b. The trial judge, failed to appreciate that the nature of the defamatory statements made by the Respondents against the appellant were actionable per se and accordingly erred in failing to make a finding in that regard in his favour.
c. The learned trial judge erred in law when she upheld the defence of qualified privilege put up by the Defendant/Respondent having regard to the evidence on record.
d. The learned trial judge erred in law when she held that the Plaintiff failed to prove malice against the Defendant/Respondent.
