MOHAMMED LAWAL GARBA, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): The Appellant was arraigned before the High Court of Lagos State on the 9th March, 2016 and charged with twenty-seven (27) counts offences, which, because of the complaints by the Appellant against each of them, I find it expedient to set out, though prolix, as follows: -
"STATEMENT OF OFFENCE - 1ST COUNT
Failure to declare assets contrary to Section 27(3) (c) of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (Establishment) Act, 2004.
PARTICULARS OF OFFENCE
That you RICKEY TARFA (S.A.N) on the 10th day of February, 2016 in Lagos within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, failed to declare your assets in the Declaration of Assets Form administered on you by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission upon your arrest.
STATEMENT OF OFFENCE - 2ND COUNT
Refusing to declare assets contrary to Section 27 (3) (c) of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (Establishment) Act, 2004.
