J U D G M E N T 

This petition was filed within two years of marriage following leave granted by the Court. 

The parties were married under the Marriage Ordinance (Cap 127) (1951 Rev.) at the Covenant Family Community Church, East Cantonments, Accra on the 6th day of September, 2014. After the marriage, the parties cohabited at  Community 9, Tema.  

There are no issues of the marriage. The parties are both Ghanaians and  bankers by profession.

Per the petition filed on the 3rd day of March, 2016, the Petitioner is praying  the Court for the dissolution of the marriage. 

The Respondent filed an Answer on the 5th of April 2016 and consented to dissolution of the marriage. 

In the Petitioner’s witness statement, she stated that barely a week after the  celebration of the marriage, the Respondent routinely engaged her in very heated,  confrontational and acrimonious arguments which always ended in the Respondent not talking to her for several weeks.
