MUHAMMED LAWAL SHUAIBU, J.C.A. (Delivering the Lead Judgment): This appeal emanated from the judgment of the High Court of Justice, Rivers State, presided over by Hon. Justice Chinwendu Nwogu delivered on the 18th day of March, 2020 affirming the earlier decision of the Senior Magistrate Court, Ahoada.
The Appellant who was the 2nd defendant in Charge No. AMC/94C/2014 was arraigned on four counts charge for conspiring to commit contempt, violating the order of the said Magistrate Court and stabbing one Nnamdi Okpo with a jack knife.
Appellant and his co-defendants pleaded not guilty to each and every count of charge and the case proceeded to trial with prosecution calling seven witnesses and tendering documentary exhibits, marked A, B, C, D, E, F, and G, respectively.
