ADUMEIN, J.S.C. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): The appellant was the 2nd defendant in Charge No. HM/16C/2012. where one Christian, Isaac Okoro, was the 1st defendant. They were charged with the offense of armed robbery, punishable by section 1(2)(a) of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provision) Act, 2004, with the particulars of the offense supplied as follows:
“Christian Isaac Okoro and Simeon Uchenna Oguche and two others now at large on the 15th day of March, 2012, at about 10pm in the State Housing Estate, Ikom, in the Ikom Judicial Division, while armed with locally made guns, robbed one Emmanuel Enya of the sum of two hundred thousand Naira, three Nokia phones, and three slippers (sic).”
