AGUBE JCA (Delivering the Lead Judgment): The plaintiff/appellant was at all times material to this suit an employee/officer of the defendant on salary grade level 8 and was a Principal Audit Assistant IV as at when he was purportedly dismissed by the defendant/respondent. The defendant/ respondent on the other hand is a creation of statute and an agency of the Federal Government of Nigeria with area offices or branches in different parts of Nigeria including Ilorin, Calabar, and other State Capitals and deals with postal services nationwide. The plaintiff/appellant joined the service of the defendant/respondent on 25 April 1983 and rose through hard work and promotion to the status he attained before dismissal.
